Trying to find this very humorous poem.  It is not the one Nita was searching for on 11 May 08 which was identified as Burnt Norton by Graham Jenkin.  Any info appreciated.

Davo,
You haven't given too many clues as to what the poem might be about.
Tell me more and I'll try to come  up with the one you want.
Where and when did you hear this poem and any other details will help.

Hi Frank
Thanks for giving it some thought.  I heard a lady recite the poem at the Heyfield Great Victorian Camp Oven Festival last November and unfortunately lost track of her name as well!!!
I have since found Old Jim's Motor-bike by Philip Rush that has some similarity but is not the one I'm searching for.  I think the missing one speaks at some point about "family jewels scraping over the top of the fuel tank cap" which is painful to even think about.  Apart from that the thrust of it is that the old bloke finds the bike has a bit too much of a mind of it's own and rather takes over control of the ride.
I can probably catch up with the lady (who did a great job with the poem) via the Heyfield organisers if necessary but I'm travelling at the moment and don't have their contact details either so I'm hoping to shortcut the search.
Thanks again for any help you may be able to offer.

Hi again Frank
Since replying to you earlier I've found the lady who recited the poem.  It was Margaret Adams who I've been able to contact and she has solved the mystery for me.  The author is Bob Magor who I note from another entry on this site that you are familiar with.  I have emailed him and hope to have all the info soon (and Margaret is kindly posting me a copy also).
Thanks again for your interest.

I had the very great pleasure of meeeting Bob Magor and saw him do this Poem at Tenterfield last year. It is called Snakes Alive and is in his book by the same name.
