I have had a bit of correspondence recently reminding me of this site so thought I had better drop in. I have been pretty lax in the writing department for some time now, as we all know, we seem to get busier as we get older!
Like most of you I have had various stuff happening which cuts into my time to write, or read for that matter.
As many of you are aware, I no longer live in Alice, and have made a sea change to Port Lincoln in SA. I love it here, but I have been travelling to Alice Springs from time to time to work. I started off working for blokes who had taken over my old contracts on the communities, but recently have been up there running a job (hands on) wiring up a new garnet separation plant to accommodate a new mine that has been set up in the area, that has consumed me pretty well for the last couple of months so that is part of the reason I have been absent from the ABPA site.
I will still be coming and going a bit for awhile but I will try and post from time to time.
I travelled up the western end of the Barkley while up there this time and Matts poem 'Another Day' came into my head, I believe it was inspired from his time working out there.
I do get inspired when I am back in the bush, even though I am happy with my sea change.
catcha all later.
Who Is This ? 😉 😉 😉 😉 😉 😉
Good onya Ross
Good to see your directional skills are still working Ross and you found us ::) Seems you are having a Clayton's retirement.
Hi Ross. I was 'invited' to check it out too, nice to see that the gang's all here. If you are thinking "Who the hell is freckels?" I'll head over to the poetry thread with an explanation (of sorts) for my extended absence. 🙂
A bit like old gang isn't it.
Good to see you Mate, and "Welcome" ... 😀
Thank you all,
I am home again now, but have had the grandkids here for a couple of weeks, between keeping up with them and trying to catch up on my work here, I have been flat out. Just had a quick dash off to Adelaide and back to put the kids on the plane back to Alice, (just the 1400 Km round trip for the weekend, just like being back in the centre.)
...no time for that Heather!
I hope I am well too Neville....Thanks.
I thought that was the case Matt, I went past it this trip....well about 300 Km away, but that is pretty close in that country....
